Job Description

KontrolFreek is seeking a Partnerships Coordinator to join its Sales & Strategic Partnerships team. In this role, the Coordinator will report to the Director, Strategic Partnerships and will support the company’s esports business development and partner management initiatives on a global level. The candidate will be asked to identify, develop, and implement new value-add partners into the program while directly managing a portfolio of existing partners. A successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who can identify and engage with potential partners and understand the impact partnerships may have on KontrolFreek’s business and community. The candidate will bring a unique perspective, an analytical mindset, and an ability to collaborate across business functions.

Responsibilities

  • Esports Strategic Partnerships
    • Develop partner networks and strategic partnerships globally, including but not limited to: 
      • Teams/Organizations
      • Players/Personalities
      • Venues
      • Tournaments
      • Content Partners
    • Help expand and diversify the esports partnership pipeline to increase KontrolFreek’s major initiatives and existing collaborations.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to promote KontrolFreek’s esports business initiatives to new audiences and partners.
    • Help track the budget associated with esports partnership initiatives.
    • Provide timely and accurate reporting of esports partnerships, pipelines, and activities.
    • Build and manage a calendar of esports events, including real-world events/business summits and digital activations (e.g., premiere team tournaments). 
  • General Strategic Partnership Support
    • Execute KontrolFreek’s partnership strategy to increase the reach and impact of the company’s ongoing business efforts.
    • Manage ongoing relationships with existing partners and, where relevant, leverage those relationships to greater collective impact.
    • Coordinate the distribution of products and communications to key partners. 
    • Work with the Partnerships Team to ensure the company’s partnerships CRM (customer relationship management) platform is regularly updated. 
    • Provide weekly updates on key partners (e.g., product launches, marketing campaigns, retail activations, partner collaborations, etc.). 
    • Create and distribute internal team meeting agendas and recaps. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business, marketing, economics, operations or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing partner marketing initiatives.
  • Experience in or solid understanding of current best practices in esports.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent internal and external written/verbal communications skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn/work with new systems. 
  • Determined work ethic with a high degree of attention to detail, intellectual motivation, and data-driven mentality.
  • Interest or experience in the video games industry a plus.
